Dean Close School

Cheltenham is a historic city in the west of England, close to the World Heritage city of Bath and the famous university city of Oxford. Like Bath, Cheltenham became famous as a spa town in the 18th century, its buildings and streets built in the elegant Regency style. There are award-winning gardens; an impressive range of stylish shops and restaurants, and prestigious festivals of horse racing, music and literature. Dean Close School has a modern campus just outside the city centre, which is close to Premier League Football Stadiums, it has a professional theatre and excellent sports facilities – including football pitches, a swimming pool and sports hall. Students will be part of an old English school house system, where they can earn points to compete against their friends through personal achievement, academic progress or sport skills.

  • 共有五個級別的程度
  • 所有學生在到達時都要進行分級測試，確保學生在合適的進度中學習
  • 每週15小時的英語授課，包括專題功課，使他們能夠創造性地使用英語，並更多地了解英國文化和歷史
  • 完成課程可獲得證書
  • 整個活動計劃包括5項下午活動和7項晚上活動
  • 半天遊覽
  • 一日全天遊覽
Our summer English courses are designed to give students the opportunity to practice their English in a friendly, multicultural environment. Students are actively encouraged to practice their English with students from other nationalities, both in class and outside. We concentrate on raising their confidence and fluency, and bringing out the English they already know, but can’t yet use.

About our courses:
  • Five levels from Elementary to Advanced
  • All students are tested on arrival to grade their spoken and written English to place them in the class of the correct level
  • 15 hours of teaching per week from qualified teachers including project work to allow them to use their English creatively and learn more about British culture and history
  • A certificate on completion of their course
  • Full activity programme including 5 afternoon activities and 7 evening activities
  • One half day excursion to local towns and cities
  • One full day excursion to more prominent towns and cities further away


英超足球體驗

PREMIER FOOTBALL EXPERIENCe

每週4個小時，學生從足球教練那裡學習傳球、頭球和投籃技巧，並通過團隊合作和策略，學習如何更好地於比賽中發揮能力。 2週足球課程的學生還可以在著名的倫敦超級聯賽體育場接受體育館之旅。此體驗僅適用於課程的前四周。

For four hours a week, students improve passing, heading, and shooting skills while also learning how to play the game better – through teamwork and strategy - from our qualified football coaches. Students on the 2-week football course also receive a stadium tour at a famous London Premier League Stadium. This programme is only available for the first four weeks of the course.


青少年成人計劃

YOUNG ADULTS PROGRAMME

年紀較大的青少年需要額外的挑戰和空間來表現自己是年輕的成年人。出於這個原因，我們提供了一個專門針對16-17歲兒童的獨立活動計劃，其中包括在切爾滕納姆的額外下午的空閒時間、攝影/設計比賽和練習英語的實際機會。部份社交活動，如去電影院或保齡球，需額外收費。

Older teens need extra challenges and space to express themselves as young adults. For this reason, we include a programme of separate activities specifically aimed at 16-17 year olds, including additional afternoon free time in Cheltenham, photography/design competitions and practical opportunities to practice their English. Social evenings such as going to the cinema or bowling are offered at a supplement.

INTENSIVE ENGLISH
​COURSE

加入我們的強化英語課程，並在下午接受四個小時的英語課程，以加速您的語言學習。您還可以報考Trinity GESE考試，並有機會獲得國際公認的英語口語資格，包括四個小時的考試主題討論準備。

Join our Intensive English programme and receive four hours of English tuition in the afternoons to accelerate your language learning. You can also sign up to the Trinity GESE Exam and have the opportunity to gain an internationally recognised qualification in spoken English, including four hours preparation for your exam topic discussion.
