The Programme
Lessons take place in the mornings and afternoons and there is a full programme of evening social events tailored to the students' age and weekends excursions, organised by Bede's Activities Leaders. Everything is included in the fee.
25 hours of lessons per week including English Skills (10 hours), Language Workshops (5 hours) and Working Life Skills (10 hours). Maximum 14 students per class. Weekly progress checks to monitor performance.
6 levels are available from Elementary (A2) to Proficiency (C2). Entry test on Monday with a speaking, grammar and writing component. Minimum level required is Intermediate B1.
Exam Course
IELTS intensive preparation and exam instead of English Skills and Language Workshops (15 hours per week). Minimum 3 week programme includes 2 weeks of IELTS preparation. Exam dates: Sat 11 July, Sat 25 July and Sat 8 August 2015.
Facilities
On campus restaurants, sports fields and attractive grounds.
Meals
Healthy meals with a mix of English and international dishes served in the Restaurant. Vegetarian options are always available. Special dietary requirements are accommodated.
Guaranteed single bedroom with ensuite bathroom in student residence on campus.
Care
Bede’s staff live on-site to look after the needs of the students and monitor them during all organised social events and excursions. During students' free time or if they decide not to particate in the social activities organised by Bede's, students are responsible for themselves. All students will be contactable at all times and will return to the College at a time decided by Bede's Centre Director .
Under 18s
There will be a dedicated Staff Member responsible for the welfare of students who are under 18. Lessons, social events and excursions will accommodate the needs and preferences of this younger age group.
Services
Wi-fi is available in most communal and accommodation areas. Students can make and receive telephone calls. The student bar is open every day. Laundry facilities are available for students to wash their clothes.
Transfer Service
Transfers from/to Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and London City Airports and St Pancras Train Station are included in the fees at any time of the day. Students are met by Bede's Staff and Bede's Airport Coordinators provide extra care. Private or public transport is used.
Course Outcomes
Students leave with a course certificate, academic report and their portfolio of Bede's class work.
