Harrow was founded in 1572 under a Royal Charter granted by Queen Elizabeth I. It soon became one of the greatest schools in the country, attracting pupils from all over the world. The School is located in the village of Harrow on the Hill, with stunning views of central London - which is 15 kilometres away. The School occupies 430 acres of beautiful grounds. The first rate facilities include state of the art classrooms, extensive playing fields, a theatre, tennis courts, an indoor swimming pool, a golf course, a new running track, sports hall and astroturf pitches. There are 6 well equipped boarding houses. Staff will meet you at the airport and take you to the school. On the departure day, staff will assist you to check-in and stay with you until you have gone through the security gate at the departure lounge. Free airport transfers by car, minibus, coach or public transport are available from the Heathrow Airport, the Gatwick Airport, the Stansted Airport, the Luton Airport, and the St Pancras Airport.
